Once my job advertisement in Znojmo was responded by candidate from Brno. During the conversation I asked whether overcoming so long distance is not too complicated for him. He admitted that he did not mention the fact that the job he was applying for was so far away. And so we discused his expectations and requirements for job possition. When I hung up I made a note „pleasant voice“. The other day I received an email from this man. He thanked for my understending and willingnes. In post scriptum he added „your voice is pleasant“ At that time I realised that not only I evaluate the other party, but they evaluet me either. :o)
Phone calls interviews are actually the first contact with the candidates. During the call we do not focuse only on basis requirements but also on his expresion – his articulation, we examine his voice tone, strenth and dynamics. In other words how does he impress us. Mainly when the possition in the field of bussiness are filed are these features important. That is why you should try to make good impression when the personnel call to find out more about you and your experience. (but do not stop to be yourselves). The vioce is the tool by which you can impress someone who can not see you.
