Stereotype, stereotype, stereotype

It looks like an ordinary situation. I am picking up the phone, dealing the number of the applicant with really great resumé including all the necessary skills and experience required for certain position. So I am prepared to speak to database programmer. I do not expect to be really hilarious job interview.

On the other side of the phone young and cheerful voice answered, in less than five minutes he destroyed all my prepared ice-breaks and what is more he push me to recheck his and mine age once again. It is quite obvious that the new generation of the IT guys is not really corresponding  to personnel profiles we are used to meet in this field – introvert, retional, nonemotional. We both enjoyed the dialogue, we laughted  and in the relax manner we speak about  position I offered.

It is obvious that new generation of IT  is quite different in comparison with the one we are used to know –introvert, rational, non emotional. We both were delighted by the phone call, we laughted and in the relaxed manner discussed  the oppered job possition. We get on like a house on fire and I invite him for a job interview. And how did it end? Of course he made a good impression on employeer – after all he search for young, dynamics and capable employee.

So what is the moralistic conclusion and skilful product placement? Ok. We all dreal with stereotype – in thinking, employe, everywhere. I found out that not rejection of stereotype will lead us to the success or fighting agains it, but realising this limitations and overcoming it.
And If you want to learn it even in relationship to yourself and  to work, try to evaluate our programme of developement in creativity and independent thinking –Kasmy. We might meet there.
