Initiation of Ghettofest 2015 began mass in the chapel of the former penitentiary on Cejl street. It operated from the late 18th century until 1956. Coterminous fates of people there took place during World War II and after. Worship, which included a prayer spoken in several languages, was a symbolic ending to the amount of pain and suffering that concealed these walls.
Now we are at the birth of a new history of this vast complex. There are plans to open a creative center.
